2016 ACTION SUMMIT
IN SEARCH OF HEALTH CREATION: COMMUNITY BY COMMUNITY
No one is as smart as all of us
Thursday, December 1, 2016
King’s Fund, Cavendish Square, London W1
Our 2016 Action Summit will take place in December at the King’s Fund in central London. This will be a full and interactive day, focusing on the concept and practice of Health Creation. We are delighted the Summit will be delivered in partnership with ITN Productions, who will launch our 2016 news programme, Healthy Communities, Healthy People at the Summit. If you would like to showcase your organisation in our programme, please contact simon.shelley@nhs.co.uk.
We were delighted to see Salford Dadz featured on the front page of Nursing Standard. The initiative encourages fathers in a deprived area to learn coping strategies from each other. Instead of focusing on needs – which can foster dependency – the ‘asset-based approach’ draws on the hidden strengths of men who manage to thrive in difficult circumstances.
