In search of health creation: community by community
It was great to see so many friends of Health Creation Alliance – both old and new – at our Action Summit last Thursday, 1 December. We enjoyed hearing from Lord Nigel Crisp, Anu Singh, Jaz Ampaw Farr and a great many perspectives from academics, journalists, people with lived experience of health creation, GP leaders and those working in health creating ways in communities – from pharmacists to fire service, general practice and community nurses to housing organisations. We were also delighted to launch our Industry News programme ‘Healthy Communities Healthy People’, made in proud partnership with ITN Productions. We were thrilled to see so much enthusiasm and energy for the theme of Health Creation and we look forward to working with you through 2017 and beyond to ‘infect the health system with wellness.’

The start of something new
“Sensing the change in the zeitgeist”, “energetic and compelling”, “great inclusive atmosphere”, “the entire day was inspirational”…Just a few of the delegates’ comments from our Action Summit last week. There really was a great sense of enthusiasm and energy during the day. People were pleased to be able to really interact with each other and the great list of speakers – but the overriding sense was that everyone there was witnessing the beginning of something genuinely new and exciting. The Summit proved a great occasion to mark the 1st anniversary of Health Creation Alliance and to launch the next chapter in Health Creation Alliance’s exciting new journey.
