Directors

Brian Fisher

Chair
Brian has been a GP in south east London for 42 years. Brian has been interested in user involvement in the NHS for a long time. He was successful in getting Department of Health funding for the ground-breaking Health Empowerment Leverage Project (HELP) which developed a business case for community development in health, based on the highly successful ‘7 Step Model’ developed by former health visitor Hazel Stuteley in several deprived areas of Devon and Cornwall. Brian was awarded an MBE for community development in 2007.

Merron Simpson

Chief Executive Officer
A thought leader and sector-bridger, Merron has a passion to bring congruence between services and the reality of people’s and communities’ lives. She has worked with and advised housing organisations, local authorities, health bodies and national organisations including Kings Fund,Chartered Institute of Housing, NHS England, National Housing Federation and the Local Government Association.

Peter Hay

Treasurer
A social worker by training, and an experienced leader of social care services to adults and children, Peter is curious about ways of building good lives, developing people’s control over their care and health, and fascinated by the demands upon leadership styles that support these aims.
Tele Almuludun

Tele Amuludun

Director
Tele is an experienced strategic leader, manager, and social policy analyst with a background in working for local authorities, voluntary and independent sectors. Experienced in consulting, Community development, race equality and diversity, management development, education and training in health, social, youth and community work, counselling and psychotherapy. He has a specialist interest in addressing health inequalities.

Lynne Bowers

Active Member Liaison Director
Lynne has 30 years NHS experience and a life-long commitment to advocacy for a range of charities, including The British Red Cross, The Gates Foundation, Help for Heroes, The Children’s Society and Autism UK.
Alex-McCraw

Alex McCraw

Community Partnership Director
Alex comes from a lived experience background and has worked for over 20 years within communities using his experiences to help, support, and bring about meaningful change. Through organisations like Salford Dadz and Expert Link he is dedicated to bringing services, people and communities together to collaborate as equals in promoting a healthier way of life.
