Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Health to join 25 top-class speakers to consider the health and economic benefits of Health Creation at Health Creation Alliance 2017 Action Summit

The Health Creation Alliance (NNHSA) has announced that Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Health, will be the Keynote Speaker at their 2017 Action Summit.
Entitled Health Creation: Wealth Creation – the power of people and communities, Hunt joins 25 top-class speakers to consider the health and economic benefits of Health Creation.
Tickets are now on sale for this best-in-class event where delegates will hear about why there is a need to invest in Health Creation, the financial arguments for it and how investing in Health Creation may both increase Britain’s productivity and reduce demand on health and care services.
Health Creation is what supports wellness. It can include meaningful work, good relationships, being part of a network and feeling in control of your life.
Commenting on Jeremy Hunt´s support, Heather Henry, Chair, NNHSA, said:
“The Health Creation movement is tackling health inequalities by increasing awareness about what creates health and delivering disruptive ideas that are catalysts for real change. Given the pressures our health and care services are under, we are therefore delighted that Jeremy Hunt will be demonstrating his support for our work.”
Chaired by Victoria Macdonald, Channels 4´s Health and Social Care Correspondent, delegates will hear from those who have enabled, delivered and lived experience of Health Creation. Other top-class speakers include:

  • Duncan Selbie, Chief Executive, Public Health England
  • Michael MacDonnell, Director for Health and System Transformation, Operations and Information, NHS England
  • Professor Eve Midleton-Kelly, Director, Complexity Research Group, London School of Economics & Political Science
  • Robbie Turner, Director of England, Royal Pharmaceutical Society
  • Norman McKinley, Executive Director of UK Operations, Red Cross

In Search of Wellness
´In Search of Wellness’, a partnership with ITN Productions, will be launched at the 2017 Action Summit. This news and current affairs-style programme will celebrate the pioneering work of those within and around the health and social care sectors who are innovating to improve the nation’s health and wellbeing.
Hidden Voice –  giving a voice to people living with dementia
Hidden Voice will have its London premier at the 2017 Action Summit. Supported by a live quartet, Hidden Voice captures the individual stories of people living with dementia and uses the melodies and rhythms in their speech to create a beautiful and emotional musical experience.
